A note from the founder.

Welcome

I am thrilled to share Bee Stitching Studio with you. This concept, my dream, has been years in the making. It has finally evolved into a creative space where I can share my passion to teach children and adults how to sew and be creative.

I started creating at a very young age with drawing, painting, sewing my own clothes, and making cloth dolls. It was my mother, an aunt, my Home Ec class in 7th grade, and the local Singer Store who originally taught me how to sew. I went off to college with my Featherweight machine and started sewing quilts with no formal training.

Once married and after having two lovely daughters I moved from sewing to teaching rug-braiding for many years. Then I decided to develop my quilting skills and got thoroughly involved by joining the local quilt guild. I took classes whenever and wherever I could and refined my skills. (A never ending process). I went on to hold a five-day quilting retreat for 17 years here in Rhode Island. I have over 40 years of experience and consider myself to be a quilter at heart. I now look forward to sewing and crafting with you!

Bee Stitching Studio is a place where I can share my knowledge, learn from others, and help you discover the joy of creating something truly unique.
